PhSC invited to RPS Education Governance
Oversight Board

The Pharmacy Schools Council has been invited to attend the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s Education Governance Oversight Board.

Professor Nigel Ratcliffe and Professor Donald Cairns have been invited to attend the RPS Education Governance Oversight Board. The board was one of several recommendations made by the RPS Task & Finish Group on Pharmacy Careers and Continuing Professional Development, which reported on the current state of the foundation programme in January of this year.

The board will oversee the development and introduction of new frameworks for postgraduate pharmacy education including the development of a long-term governance structure, and will provide strategic leadership in engaging and working in partnership with stakeholders, including the UK regulators, governments, NHS postgraduate pharmacist education and training structures and education providers, and the pharmacy profession about the content, quality and outcome measures for postgraduate pharmacist education and training.
